The Beauty of the Ruins of St. Paul Church, Macao

Once down the cobbled streets in SenadoSquare, it would be nice if you also visit one of the iconic cities of Macao that is a very famous ruin of the Church of St. Paul. Simply by walking through the narrow alleys then we will be taken to a church building built in 1602 as a place where missionaries studied Chinese before serving in Beijing.


For St. Paul to the church, the easiest way is to visit Macao Square so that you will find Senado Square first, because of the place we just walk about 200 meters past the shops and eating places and from a distance, and then the form of church will be visible. Physical manifestation of this church is simple, but the history that makes it extraordinary. In 1835 a great fire had occurred earlier that struck the church, the unique is front of the church still standing strong today although its rear building was totally destroyed. Interestingly, until recently widely held several arts and cultural festival of Macao in the court where the church steps become exciting and dramatic spot that support the show.

To visit the Church of St. Paul do not rush to spend money, because a lot of free shuttle bus from some casinos like Grand Lisboa, Venetian Resort and public areas such as the City of Dream. Just ride because there had been prepared for the purposes of tourism. Down in Macao Square and walk straight about 100 meters and will be arriving at the Senado Square. Follow the directions to the Church of St. Paul and you will see it after walking about 200 meters.
